Ok, this week we’re back “into the light” after checking in on the Enemy’s proceedings in the last story. I continue to get your feedback on how impactful these stories are, and I hope to generate more revelation or conviction with this one. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
And by the way, this is obviously not the only way that God provides favor. I’m just highlighting an aspect of favor that might not be readily visible at first.
Now when she hears that voicemail, she thinks of how Moses went through all of those rejections and plagues with Pharaoh, only to have it lead to the Egyptians giving Israel their riches.
(1) Favor over the chase
So what does actual faith in favor look like, when the situation tells you something else? God obviously won't just deliver everything when we want it; He is often working out many things in the background.
Here's an example of Bridget, who’s been chasing after prospective clients, but then actually learns to believe in God's favor, and stops chasing. Through it, she will gain something much greater than just a client—the faith and peace that comes from believing in her success.
Sure, it's important that a particular client signs on, and she has to work hard for it. But the deep assurance that they will always come at the right time, as she walks things out with God, is worth more than gold (e.g., 1 Peter 1:7).
(2) Peace over a client
Bridget is pretty wise, because she wants the peace that comes from knowing God, much more than she wants any particular client. She just did the latest Plaitra Plesson on favor, refreshing her knowledge of how God works, and renewing her mind.
