This is the first full post of what I partially described last week - content that reveals the spiritual, or invisible workings of God, and encourages the reader to get more help from Him.
This is also a free post, as the beginning of this new content. To my paid subscribers - I greatly value for your membership, and future posts will continue to be for you.
A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. Because you have made the LORD your dwelling place—the Most High, who is my refuge—no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. Psalm 91:7-10 (ESV)
(1) Getting intricate help
One of the main things I do with Plaitra is reveal how we can get help from God, particularly during the hard times. God has astounded me with how he directs, provides, and desires to be involved in the details of our lives.
You probably have prayed to God, but are you getting detailed help with your current challenges - including regarding the crazy times we live in? I encourage you to go through this post and consider reaching out to God in ways you might not already have.
You might think that it's your responsibility to just fully take care of yourself and that God has bigger things to worry about. But Scripture tells us how much he cares about the details of our lives and and how intricately he provides (e.g., Joshua 3:15-16; Psalm 34, Psalm 91, Psalm 139; Isaiah 43:2; Matthew 7:7-11).
(2) Through Jesus
God offers to help us, if we ask for it, and if we also do things according to His ways. He is not some glorified Santa Claus handing out favors upon request, but the One who created the heavens and the earth so they can be run right (e.g., Genesis 1).
And the central part of getting right with Him is to receive Jesus into our hearts, and then have an actual relationship with Him (e.g., John 15:5, Matthew 5:17; Romans 10:9). This includes knowing how he works and doing what it takes to draw nearer to Him.
That being said, God is not some austere drill sergeant with excessively stringent requirements. he cares about our heart, sees who we really are, and wants the best for us (e.g., Numbers 10:12; 1 Samuel 13:14; John 1:17; John 8:1-11; Romans 8:29).
(3) Why not ask for more?
Maybe you're an aware person living during these times, seeing what is going on in the world, and wanting protection through the storms. We're living in the midst of unprecedented worldwide evil, with consistent attacks on and disregard for regular people.
If you haven't already, why not seek God for His protection, guidance, and revelation through all this, in addition to doing your part and developing your skills (e.g., 1 Samuel 31-49). We don't have to just wait for big problems to happen before we ask God for help in our daily life.
We obviously have personal responsibility, and are probably very busy as we do what is necessary to take care of everything on a daily basis. But consider that God also wants to help us with big and small things such as what to stock up on, who to get valuable information from, and how to mentally prepare for what might be coming.
(4) God speaks with an eclipse
If you doubt God's desire to help people at this time, take a look at something like the amazing solar eclipse taking place this Monday, on April 8th. It follows another noteworthy 2017 U.S. eclipse that passed through 6+ cities called Salem.
This one enters through Eagle Pass, Texas, passes over 6+ U.S. cities called Ninevah, and an eighth in Canada. Put these Ninevah and Salem occurrences together and you have deep Biblical meanings of salvation, safety, peace, and relationship.
This might look like just some eclipses and a bunch of coincidences, but I've only written a brief overview. There are many astounding additional details of what’s happening, including how the 4-8 date speaks of new beginnings, and how the two eclipses cross over a well-known giant cross where the Mississippi and Ohio rivers meet, which is also right by the "Little Egypt" and Cairo area of Illinois.
(5) “But I’m no expert in this”
But maybe you think that you're not an expert Christian and you don't really see God in all this. Applying Scripture to life takes time and effort to learn.
And even if you try to live right, you might not be sure if you really follow Jesus. And you might not know the details of how to apply something like Biblical Nineveh to the present time.
All this might peak your interest, and it would be good to get more help from God in your daily life. But then you maybe just assume that you're a good person and that life has turned out ok so far, so you'll be fine.
(6) But there is Plaitra
Well, you're in luck, because that's where Plaitra comes in. These posts here on Substack will be designed to help get you through these times. I'll be revealing God in the midst of what is going on, and how you can walk it out with Him.
This is an introductory post about getting help from God in general, but going forward, I'll be breaking down many details of this spiritual battle - and how to win through it.
And you might still say that I don't know your personal situation, so how can I help with any details. Well, everyone's situation is naturally different, but the forces at play in the spiritual realm affect us all, especially at this time. And, moreover, I'll be gathering information from paid subscribers, and writing posts according to what you need.
Thank you for reading and using Plaitra. I invite you to engage with the content here on Substack. You can also email comments or questions to plaitra@substack.com.
